Christ died so that we might live, not for us to remain in our deadness.
The Cross can take us from the side of perpetual falling and rising to the side of stability in the Lord by the grace of God in Christ Jesus.
The problem today isn't that the gospel no longer has the power to change lives but the fact is that for the first time in the history of Christendom, we now have so many individuals in the pulpits whose drive is to earn a living and gain some form of recognition from what they consider as a ministry.
90% of young men who came to my office seeking some form of counsel for ministry never returned after the first encounter.😂😭
Why? They came expecting me to tell them what they wanted to hear but got the truth and fled. Does that explain the reason for the many RIPs?
We have ministers today who are botherless whether the people under them experience a thorough transformation that is not a burden as long as they keep coming to provide cash and an audience for pictures to post on social media.
When a true 'Gospeler' proclaims the everlasting gospel, sin will diminish in their sphere, and righteousness will increase.
Everything ( Healing, deliverance, and other breakthroughs) is a mere bonus.
Today, the bonus is now the main goal of our gospel.
When Peter preached on the day of Pentecost, 3000 people asked him what they must do to be saved. Do you get that?
Today we preach to please our online and offline audiences.
The trillion dollars question is, how can one preach with fire, challenging people to turn from their sinful ways and embrace Christ and his kingdom if they believe everyone is already saved and there are no sinners because Christ died for the whole world?
The question is, if that is true, what is the value of receiving Him?
The scripture says,👉 "But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. "John 1:12 (NLT)
Why should anyone repent when in the first place, they aren't sinners?
Well, we should just tell them they aren't sinners because Christ died for them, and that will change them😂😂😂😂
Take that gospel to the streets, and see if you will see the conversion of drug addicts, prostitutes, drunkards, gang stars, and the real unbelievers in general, etc.
The only people filling up auditoriums where such trash is preached are tired and retired church folks with itching ears who are looking for what is not lost.
Listen, if 3000 people bowed to the power of the gospel when Peter preached on the day of Pentecost, although on that day no physical miracle occurred, more than 3000 people can bow today.
The gospel has not lost its power to change lives. We just have people on the pulpits who shouldn't be there, preaching their opinions and not the gospel of Christ.
The Holy Spirit still convicts of sin, righteousness, and judgment. John 16:8
We aren't the ones to save the people; our job is to proclaim the gospel faithfully, and He will do what He knows to do best.
Brethren, the state of our cities and churches is an indictment against what we preach and teach.
We need a repositioning. Do you see why Kenya 🇰🇪 2023 is crucial?
May we use this Easter weekend to reflect on what we are busy about as a ministry today!
We must recover both the gospel and what the church is supposed to be. Help us, God!
