1) Success & Greatness from a worldly standpoint.
2) The craving to break earthly records.
3) The ambition to be the greatest.
Looking at the above with ordinary eyes, nothing is out of place with the above aspirations. So, how are they a distraction?
Listen, a true kingdom citizen is in the world but not of the world. What do I mean by that? Listen, the world isn't just about the geographical expression of our nations and continents; there is more to it. The world has its perspectives: definitions, majors, minors, targets, systems of operation, etc, which are opposite to the perspectives, definitions, majors, minors, and system of operation of God's kingdom.
If one claims to be a Christ person and lacks this understanding and doesn't appreciate this difference, such is merely a member in the body of churches but living outside the kingdom of God.
Our success drive, craving to break records, and being the greatest has become a huge distraction because we are going after these things with the same mentality and vision of the world.
From the world's perspective, at the time and age Christ was crucified, He was a failure. Didn't it look like that? He had no acres of land, buildings, or stocks to his name. From the world's perspective, He was a failure but the question is, how many people who had lands, buildings, and stocks in their name still had them a hundred years after they were gone?
Who among them is talked about today for those things they had that made them successful in the world's definition? Today, Christ is the most famous person in the entire world. Did you get it?
Listen, kingdom people don't pursue success or live to break records or strive to be the greatest; they chase after God and his purpose for their lives; the bi-products are the things the people of the world live and kill to achieve and after they die, the leave it all behind to continue in an eternity separated from God known as Hell.
Listen, if you aren't chasing after God and the fulfillment of his purpose for your life but striving for worldly success, records and to be great, the minute you sign out of the earth, you will realize how distracted you were from Majors and how what you thought was a Big Hit, was merely worthless vanity.
There is no eternal reward for earthly success except it serves God's purpose. Earthly, most celebrated records don't count in eternity.
If you aren't living your life for God's purpose and glory, giving it all you have, you are a deceived and lost soul.
Church, let's get back to basics!
We are being distracted by the trivial things of this passing life. We are in a race to prove something to the world using the things of the world😭😭😭 How is that possible?
You can't beat the world 🌎 with what belongs to the world unless you decide to join them. That's the reason for the current trend of many in church joining the occult in search of results as they claim to answer insult. 😭😭😭What folly!
We are in the world and not of this world. I pray God to grant us understanding. If you have wandered away from the path of life in pursuit of worldly vanities, I pray you get back to God before it's too late.
