When we live in our cities and nations without a vision and a sense of mission to positively impact where we are, then we are unconsciously inviting a state of total chaos sooner or later, which may destroy everything we have worked for, I'm talking about those things we care for, which makes us nonchalant about the state of our cities and nations, except ourselves.
I'm speaking in parables!
I see people fleeing for their lives and leaving their children behind and children leaving their parents behind, with none caring about the other. I see churches/ institutions/ organisations/ going for months and even years without operating as each individual will be fleeing for his or her life. Those who have amassed wealth without purpose will care-less about their wealth and money as each individual will be running for safety.
It is very easy to survive such calamities if we have the understanding that the purpose of our existence is the reason for whatever God's providence has favored us with.
Where is your heart?
If your passion is all about getting the things of this life to compete and to showoff, you would be frustrated in the face of what is coming on the earth.
Most cities and nations of the world will soon experience total chaos; I mean a total breakdown of law and order. We haven't seen refugees; the refugee crisis will soon become so endemic to the point where people will refer death than living. There are nations that seem untouchable; those nations will soon be shaken to the core. Africans abroad should invest back home, nowhere like home. “The village you’ve neglected may soon become the only safest place for you and your family.”
How can we prevent the coming gloom and doom? We have to return to God with our whole hearts and stop the religious nonsense we are busy doing under our different religious canopies. We have to enlist in God's army and live a life of righteous, purpose and mission, using who and what we are to promote the kingdom of God; righteousness, justice, peace and love wherever we find ourselves.
Failure to impact our cities and nations with the principles and practices of the kingdom of God will leave us as refugees sooner or later, with each of us running for our lives. Any city or nation you find yourself in, work tirelessly with everything God has given you to bring the kingdom of God there. Be part of what God is doing beyond your small world. If we return to God genuinely and live for his purpose and plan, we may avert the coming owes. DrBenard Etta
