Within our churches, Satan seems to be the real enemy of the kingdom, and we spend so much time fighting him. However, when you get into the field, youβll discover that it isn't Satan but our disorder, egotism, greed and self-seeking ministry mindset.
Satan seems to have stopped fighting us in several quarters but merely watching us destroy ourselves. For instance, when you arrive in most places today with a vision and burden for a strategic kingdom engagement, the first question you will be asked by those you thought would make themselves available is πHow much money have you brought?π
The question about money isn't because of the need for adequate finance to realise the vision but what individuals could line their pockets with. So, once a big event is in view, people start salivating for money. πππ If you aren't sharing money like Reinhard Bonnke of blessed memory for mobilisation, then be ready to work out your life to get the job done with few volunteers.
Brethren, Satan isn't our problem but our greed, egotism and self-seeking ministry mindset. Some years back, people were more excited about being a part of what God was doing, not necessarily what they could take for themselves. If you find such people, thank God for them because they are rare.
The American dollar has made it hard to get things done in most places. They will tell you how much they got from a recent program organised by an American preacher, and if you can't meet up, they will promise to show up and dash your hope when you need them most. πππ
Despite these challenges, the kingdom of God will continue to thrive, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against the true remnant church of Jesus Christ.
The voice of God is still sounding. ππ "Whom should I send as a messenger to these people? Who will go for us?" I said, "Here I am. Send me."
Isaiah 6:8 (NLT)
