(What Is Not New, Can't Be News)
"Why is it considered incredible if God does raise the dead? Acts 26: 8.
Miracles of physical, material and financial breakthroughs aren't the purpose of the Gospel of the kingdom, but are merely bi-products. I am a believer in miracles and by God's grace, I've witnessed and still witnessing miracles in my life and ministry. However, it's crucial for us in this hour to know the truth about the kingdom of God. Christ is the author of the gospel of the kingdom, but before he came, there were already miracles. So, he didn't come because of miracles. You just have to read through the Old Testament and you will come across outstanding miracles of the magnitude unseen today, like the crossing of the red sea, the provision of manna from heaven, and the mass healing in the wilderness when the brazen serpent was raised. Not forgetting the miraculous prophetic ministry of Elijah / Elisha and others. So, Christ didn't come because of miracles, there were miracles before he came.
When purpose is not known, abuse is inevitable. The occultism, witchcraft and hypnotic manipulations practiced today within Pentecostal/ Charismatic circles by some individuals, is due to the overemphasis on miracles of physical, material and financial breakthroughs over the true message of the kingdom. Haven't we witnessed all sorts of miracles in the last and present decades, but why haven't we taken over our cities and nations? Why is the world fast degenerating right before our very eyes?
The reason is simple; there is much more about the kingdom of God we haven't understood nor made known to this sick world. Does that mean miracles are not important? That's not what I am saying; miracles have been there and will always be there, but attempting to make miracles the major theme of the gospel is "open idolatry." Are we not seeing the abuse going on in the name of miracles all over the world? Are we not seeing the mass deception and manipulations? When are we really going to wake up to the reality of what the kingdom of God is about?
"Why is it considered incredible if God does raise the dead? Acts 26: 8. Why is it considered incredible if blind eyes open and the lame walk in a meeting of the saints? Paul was simply saying that, even if God raises the dead, it's no news. But what have we done? We have made things, which aren't news, headline news. There were people Christ healed, but he told them to tell no one, why? It's no news! Christ doesn't heal or perform miracles to make news; he does heal out of compassion for those afflicted. Mark 7:31-37. Matt 8:1-4.
I know I am confronting the "idol" of the Pentecostal/ Charismatic movement, God, I'm in your hands, help me! John the Baptist performed no miracle, but he raised a dead generation and effectively prepared the way of the Lord.
People come to most of our churches today not to seek God nor to establish a relationship with him, and to discover his kingdom and purpose, but to see and receive miracles. We have produced fake preachers and Christians than any other generation in Christian history. We have unconsciously given the devil a license to transform his agents into "ministers of God" since we have made people to think it's all about miracles. We've individuals parading themselves as "Apostles," "Prophets," "Evangelists," "Pastors" and "Bishops" with no knowledge of God's word; ask them what salvation and the kingdom are about, and you would be surprised by the level of ignorance they will exhibit, but instead of seeking to know the Lord, they are looking for power. How dangerous is power without knowledge!
Brethren, we are in real danger if nothing happens to stop this madness. The Anti-Christ is anticipating a sweeping and easy breakthrough with his fake miracles because we seem to be unconsciously preparing the way for him.
I hereby announce a revolution against the madness going on. I've been prepared for this hour; very soon, the prophets of Baal of this generation will soon meet with their Waterloo. The Elijah's are here; to turn the hearts of the people back to God! Those who have ears should use them well to hear. Let the revolution begin! DrBenard Etta
