Money Is Not Everything!
PONDER 🔥
Listen, beloved, most life-transforming opportunities for your growth may not be monetarily advantageous. On the contrary, some may cost you money and your time but would offer you other things money simply can't buy.
If you don't know this, I'm afraid you will shut doors you were to keep open, and you will miss a lot.
Sometimes favor may appear as labor in disguise to scare the opportunists and adventurers.
Between 1994 and 1996, I served as a revivalist and church planter with the Full Gospel Mission, Manyu Division, Cameroon.
During those years, I do not recall any pastor in the area possessing a motorbike, much less a car. Ministry was solely a matter of conviction and passion for the Lord. That's the contrast today; ministry to many newcomers is a shortcut to wealth, fame, and others.
I collaborated with a team of intercessors as we ventured onto the frontlines of church planting and revival meetings beyond our Jerusalem. God's grace was so enormous as we saw the successful planting of local churches in rural communities where there weren't any local churches.
Everywhere we went, we witnessed many people turning from idols to serve the living God, and the fire of revival spread throughout the area. To the glory of God, the fruits of that era continue to multiply—more 'trees' and fruits even beyond the region and globally.
Listen, the two years of service with the full gospel mission in Mamfe, Manyu Division, in Cameroon were explosive. I wasn't on salary or any formal support, and I didn't even remember expecting a salary, but God provided in wonderful ways.
I answered yes whenever duty called, and I will forever thank the Lord for the platform, which served as my early foundation for ministry.
I mentioned this to highlight the fact that while certain ministry assignments may provide opportunities for financial support, others may primarily serve as platforms for learning, training, networking, exposure, and more. Money is not everything.
My time of service with the Full Gospel mission didn't result in any tangible ministry support, but it gave me the platform to exercise the gift of God and calling upon my life. Today, looking back 30 years, I thank God for those days of little beginnings.
If you are looking for support and financial blessings from every ministry opportunity, I can assure you, you won't go far.
Just serve the Lord enthusiastically, and He will take care of you. Don't leave a church or ministry intended by God to serve as a platform for your development simply because you aren't making money.
A brilliant mind once said, "If all you are thinking about is how to make money, you are a very poor person."
You may walk away from a platform that can change your life not financially but ministerially because of money. I don't know to whom I'm talking, but I felt led to share this!
