Reasons why your church should be re-evangelized
In my opinion, taking Christ to "Christians" is a new mission challenge facing the 21st century church. We have more churchgoers today than in any other time in Christian history; knowing Christ is not their quest, but receiving the good things the kingdom of God can offer. This situation has made the "church" a new mission field in the 21st century. The irony is that, while we are doing the best we can, reaching those we consider as unsaved, it seems we are losing the war in our churches.
It's worth noting that, increasing denominational membership alone, without making people disciples of Christ and real kingdom ambassadors, who love the truth, and have the passion, and a sense of mission to see the kingdom of God come and his will to be done on earth as it is in heaven is a gross failure. The church has become a popular destination for many, but bringing this masses of churchgoers into a real knowledge of Christ has made taking Christ to "Christians" a 21st century mission challenge.
There is a difference between accepting the religion of Christianity and knowing Christ. Millions of sincere people are confusing both; they are busy in "churchianity," but have no personal relationship and knowledge of Christ. One of the missions of the NEW MOVE on this platform is to move individuals from pursuing ordinary "churchianity,"to knowing the one who was in the beginning and by him all things consist, Christ.
