Then Adonijah the son of Haggith exalted himself, saying, I will be king: and he prepared him chariots and horsemen, and fifty men to run before him. (1Kings 1:5).
i) You would definitely function in insecurity in any position you assume through self-promotion.
2) You can't last long when you try to function in someone's place.
3) Stolen inheritance brings shame.
4) Those who look for authority, and power are always poor managers of both. Most great leaders are those who were not too ambitious to attain positions of authority and power.
5) If you promote yourself, you would always be insecure in the presence of someone who attained his or her position by merit.
6) You can't be secured when you operate in manipulation.
7) You need not to manipulate anyone when you operate in the place God ordained for you.
8) Those who seek authority and power outside the due process, would undoubtedly seek for the devil's help when things go wrong since God wasn't in the business in the first place.
9) We have two types of people in positions today; self promoted individuals like Adonijah the son of Haggith, and divinely appointed individuals like Solomon.
