Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all; But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father. Gla 4:1-2.
No one should seek "independence" without something "independent" (Unique) to offer. This simple truth can curb the number of organisations, institutions and ministries prevalent today the world over, operating in imitation and limitation.
Premature "independence" is one of the reasons most emerging leaders are stagnant in their development and impact. There is no reason for leaving an existing organization, institution or ministry just to do the same thing under an independent banner. "Independence" is the destiny of everyone in leadership, but can be dangerous if misunderstood and attained out of the required due process.
Independence is for interdependence; interdependence is the partnership of two truly independent individuals or organisations, each one bringing to the table their unique potentials (Gifting) and exchanging them in a complementary manner in order to complete each other.
The pathway to the top is the humility to learn under the mentorship and leadership of individuals with outstanding character, vision, revelation and leadership skills, while waiting for the proper timing to step out to undertake an independent work for interdependence.
Time Invested under genuine mentors, not tormentors, is never a wasted time, but time wisely invested. I encourage every aspiring leader to invest time to serve and learn under genuine mentors and leaders no matter the inconveniences until the time their potentials develop for unique and independent expression and impact. This is when you step out to create "a new world" to give life to "existing worlds."
If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. James 1:5. Cheers! DrBenard Etta
