"Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows." Ps 45: 7
A house is not sustained by the walls of the house, but by its foundation. This makes the quality of the foundation of a house very critical. Some thirty years ago when I became part of the body of Christ; the prim ary focus of everyone then was to walk in righteousness.

Ministers preached life changing messages intended to instill the love for righteousness into the hearts of the saints without wavering. They didn't preach or teach to cajole people as it is common today, but to change lives and to instill the love for righteous in the hearts of those listening to them.

It didn't matter whether one was the greatest donor to the church then; no one was exempted from the call to walk in righteous. Righteousness was the passion from the pulpit to the pew. Songs were presented to instill the love for righteousness in the hearts of people. It was very easy then to distinguish a true Christian from a non-Christian; believers received one another without fear and suspicion. You could trust your life in the hands of a fellow Christian and feel safe. All of the above began changing beginning from the early 90s, when the focus shifted to attaining quick financial and material prosperity and numerical Church growth.

I believe in financial and material prosperity, which comes through a covenant walk with the Lord for the expansion of the kingdom of God on earth. I equally believe in Church growth; I have witnessed church growth in six months than some would ever experience throughout their years in ministry. However, I also believe that, sacrificing righteousness on the platter of gaining financial and material prosperity and church growth is a grave mistake.

Who are we working for and whose church are we building, if righteousness is swept under the table? If God is a righteous God and we claim to be builders of his kingdom in unrighteous, then we are merely working for ourselves. The love for righteous is the key to receiving unusual anointing.

What is unusual anointing?

It is not anointing to heal the sick or to raise the dead, neither is it the anointing for wealth. There is nothing wrong with exercising the anointing to heal the sick and to raise the dead or to create wealth if the foundation is based on righteousness. In the absence of righteousness, the above is mere carnal display for personal pride and “showmanship.”

The unusual anointing is that which goes beyond bringing healing, deliverance s and financial breakthroughs to bringing conviction of sins, repentance and transformation in lives and societies.

John the Baptist exhibited the unusual anointing; his message brought conviction to those who heard him and their response was; "what shall we do."

On the day of Pentecost, after Peter delivered his soul searching message, the response of the crowd was thus; “Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Acts 2: 37

Jesus Christ exhibited the unusual anointing during his earthly ministry. Mary Magdalene came to Christ weeping; she washed the feet of Jesus with her tears, and wiped his feet with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with ointment in conviction for her sins in search for forgiveness.

When Zacchaeus had an encounter with Jesus, he became convicted of his deviant lifestyle; he said in response: “Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken anything from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.”

Peter said to Jesus; “Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.”

The conviction and repentance of Mary Magdalene, Zacchaeus and Peter, were all a result of the unusual anointing manifesting through the life and ministry of Christ. When one is anointed with the unusual anointing, people with unruly and deviant character will be convicted in the presence of such an individual.

Smith Wigglesworth, one of the greatest ministers of faith Britain ever gave the world; once entered a mill and within minutes of his arrival, people in the mill began falling on their knees, convicted of their sins and weeping without Smith Wigglesworth saying a word to them. His literal presence brought conviction in the hearts of the people. That is what the unusual anointing can accomplish.

Today, people attend miracle crusades and conventions to watch the display of miracles like people watching film tricks and returning home without any iota of conviction neither for sin nor for righteous. People are led into the ritual prayers of receiving Christ without any remorse in their hearts for their ways.

The church seems to have lost the ability to compel people to repent and to change their ways in several quarters. Instead, people fill churches every Sunday as part of their Sunday outing program without any touch of God in their lives. Most messages only put sinners more at ease in Zion and at ease in their iniquity. The emphasis for money has replaced the emphasis for salvation. In fact, most people believe today that Church is all about money since corrupt politicians and dubious businessmen and women are giving so much public recognition in churches because of their huge donations.

Something isn't right!

Where is the church that transformed cities and nations? During the revival in Wales, prostitution asylums, Alcoholic bars and pornographic centers closed down because most of their patrons got saved. The entire land of Wales was swept by the spirit of God; courthouses became empty and most Judges resigned due to idleness. Crime wave dropped drastically in Wales and policemen became idle with no one to arrest for any crime, etc. Why can't we see such results today?

It's time to return to the altar of righteousness, if we want to walk in the glory of God in these last days. Enough of the iniquity on the pulpit and in the pew! We need to seek God to restore in our hearts once more the love for righteousness and hatred for iniquity; this is the path to unusual anointing. Have a blessed new month! DrBenard Etta

The man at the pool of Bethesda said to Jesus: "Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up, but while I am coming, another steps down before me." (John 5:7)

Let's ponder on the phrase ' I have no man."

A man lived in a quagmire for 38 years not because of Satan, but because he had "no man" to put him into the pool when the water was stirred up for the healing of all manner of sicknesses. The question is; where were the parents or friends of the man?

Well, the answer is obvious; few people can identify with someone when the going gets tough. Thank God! When everyone runs away from us because of our circumstances, we can lean on Christ.

Jesus Christ will always walk in when others walk out. As much as we need people in our lives, we should never forget that people have limitations. They can be there at times and not be there in other times, but we can always trust Christ to be with us in season and out of season.

"I am with you always, even to the end of the age." (Matt 28:20b).

"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you. (Isa 243:2)

It is always important to know that, Christ may use people in different seasons of our lives to connect us to opportunities for change and advancement. We simply need the right discernment to know whom the Lord is bringing our way in each season of our life.

To miss the right individual may actually result to another year in the same mess. When a God sent individual comes across your path, something positive will happen. It's just unfortunate at times that, many people out of ignorance and certain manipulations, persecute the same people sent by God for their breakthrough.

"Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were unwilling. Matt 23: 37

Sometime, I wonder if Cameroon is the modern-day Jerusalem that constantly kills and blackmails her God sent men and women. I pray for Cameroonians everywhere for a change of mentality and attitude. It may be very easy at times to believe a fraud than a genuine person. We need the right discernment in this season. Don't spend another year by the "pool of Bethesda" when you can walk home healed and restored. DrBenard Etta

It is practically impossible to be "important," if you are not an "importer." To be "important" is to "import substance." This was the secret of Christ during his earthly ministry; He was an "importer" not an impostor.

We have so many impostors today masquerading under different titles, but few "importers" who are delivering heavenly goods to the earth r ealm.

Listen to the words of the greatest source of inspiration mankind has ever known.

"Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise." John 5:19.

Christ positioned himself at the "right angle" to the father in order to constantly "import" from him for "earthly distribution," just like the moon positions itself at a proper angle to the sun in order to reflect the light of the sun.

The era of Christ's earthly ministry was simply a season of awesome display of "imported substance" from above. He was about his father's business of "mass importation" from God to earth.

Heaven is full of answers, solutions and breakthroughs meant for the earth, but there are few importers.

Listen to what John the Baptist said, a man sent from God.

"A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven." John 5:27.

John was simply saying, "What is not imported from heaven is considered as "nothing." Heaven is not an asylum for asylum seekers, but a realm accessible via divine grace for importation of "durable products" for earthly distribution. When last did you import from heaven? If you are not importing from above, the tendency to pirate what others' are importing is very very likely.

Now hear this, ministry is not title or position in Church, but the effective delivery of heavenly "substance" to the earth realm. To be an effective minister is to be an "importer" of heavenly substance for earthly distribution. Do nothing if you have seen nothing and say nothing if you haven't heard from heaven. To be important is to import substance. Go for it! DrBenard Etta

Spiritual Journey!

"Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD:" 1SA 1:18.

Point A............................ ...........Come!.....................................Point B

The distance between "Point A" and "Point B" is the reason for the word "COME." There exist a gap between humanity and divinity; the invitation "COME" is primarily intended to close that gap.

Humanity operates at "Point A," while God operates at "Point B." God's greatest desire is to bring us into our rightful place in him, where we can walk together as "fellows," to enjoy genuine fellowship.

The gap between "Point A" and "Point B" is the main cause of every human ignorance, deprivation and degeneration, etc. We all are called upon to travel from "Point A" to "Point B." It takes the successful completion of this journey to fulfill one's purpose of existence.

When we travel from "Point A" to Point B, which is represented by the word "Come," we enter another level defined by the words, "let us" as seen in our text. "Let us" is a level we attain when we travel from "Point A,"where we are trapped, to "Point B" where we become "fellow," team members and active players) in the "committee" and order of the Godhead. This is beyond religion!

The Journey from "Point A" to "Point B" is the Journey of Spiritual development. The bridge between "Point A" and "Point B" is the revelation of Christ in three dimensions.
a) The Way

b) The Truth

c) The Life

Mathematicians would be more concerned with measuring the distance between "Point A" and "Point B" in order to calculate the distance covered per time. This is not applicable in this case because the distance between "Point A" and "Point B" doesn't exist within the realm of our physical senses, but in the realm of our spiritual consciousness. God is calling every individual and every generation to make this remarkable journey through the knowledge of Christ. You can begin this journey today! Inbox me for more information. Remain blessed! DrBenard Etta

SON OF MAN, CAN THESE BONES LIVE?

2010921?profile=original

 Ezekiel 37:1-3.

The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which [was] full of bones, And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, [there were] very many in the open valley; and, lo, [they were] very dry. And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest.

Son of Man; Men and women of God, Can these bones live? The challenge of God to a faithless generation. The Lord carried the prophet, Ezekiel, to a valley full of dry bones, and asked him, Son of man, can these bones live?

God is asking us the same question. Can this hell-bound generation be transformed? May the spirit of God cause us to see beyond our inability to God's ability! The world today is a valley full of dry bones ravaged by innumerable woes, despair, frustration, misery, and death; the question reverberates; CAN THESE BONES LIVE?

Can we believe for a move of God that transforms towns, cities and nations? Can our cities and countries be free from the power of sin, corruption, drugs and all the heinous crimes ravaging them?

Can we believe God to use us in this era to stop prostitution, transform Governments, and lead a positive revolution in all areas of strategic importance and to usher in the kingdom of God on earth?

CAN THESE BONES LIVE?

When God asks a question, it is not because He is ignorant and somehow depends on us for answers. When God asks a question, He is finding out if we know as we ought to know. CAN THESE BONES LIVE? And the response from Prophet Ezekiel was "O Lord GOD, thou knowest."

The prophet was saying, this is beyond my faith and knowledge. Listen, it is not always a matter of what we know. The question is; what happens if God leads us into areas our faith and knowledge can't carry us? The answer is right there in the word.

Ezekiel 37:4 to 5.

Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD. Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live.

God was saying; Ezekiel, do what I ask you to do, even if it does not make sense to you. Act on my instruction and not on your faith or knowledge, since you have none at the moment.

So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone.

The prophet acted on God's instruction; He didn't have faith nor knowledge of what was possible, but he prophesied as was commanded. Oh, I sense the Holy Ghost!

Listen! God is taking us beyond our faith and knowledge in this era. He can't depend on know-how, or else His program would be in Jeopardy.

Sadly, we are living in a time of gross unbelief; only a remnant today can believe God for a global kingdom revolution where heaven invades the earth, and the kingdoms of the world become the kingdom of our God and his Christ. That is why we mostly stay within our Church buildings chanting victory songs while the devil is taking over streets, education, Media, entertainment, Governments, the economy, science and others.

What worked in the experience of Ezekiel in the valley of dry bones when faith and knowledge fail was OBEDIENCE! Obedience can take us where our faith can't.

So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.

The breakthrough came, and the valley of dry bones became an exceeding great army, not because of the faith of the prophet, but his obedience. For centuries, we have solely spoken on faith and knowledge as indispensable for kingdom exploits, but as vital as they are, they can become hindrances to what the Lord wants to do through us. Even when we lack faith and knowledge to believe God for certain things, we can see the incredible intervention of God if we choose to walk in obedience.

The Lord is saying to us; if we can obey Him even when his instructions don't make sense, we will see his salvation. Can these bones live? The answer is yes, with God, all things are possible! It isn't about us, but God! Alleluia!

May this message inspire us to believe God even when our faith and knowledge fail us. That's what the Lord is saying to us in this season. Catch the revelation and run with it!

Ponder And Stay Blessed!

PRAYERS REDEFINED!

2010918?profile=original

Prayer is not a religious activity, but spiritual intercourse with God in heart travail for the birthing of his Kingdom and his will on earth as it is in heaven. Such prayers can not go unanswered! For instance, Hannah needed a Child and God needed a prophet. Hannah knowing the desire of heaven, she requested for a male child she would dedicate to serve God all the days of his life. She had the right sense of judgement to connect her need for a child to heaven's need for a prophet. Since God needed a prophet, He was obliged to respond to Hannah's request for a child.
Prayer is identifying with heaven's need on earth and positioning ourselves for the birthing of heaven's will. The answer to our prayers will always come along with our own needs interwoven in the broader plan of God. That's why we are to seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all other things shall be added into us.

Sadly, prayer for self-aggrandizement is what many do today; it leaves individuals totally out of touch with reality. May God convert us in our hearts to seek his Kingdom and will on earth as it is in heaven. All our needs are connected to heaven's needs on earth.

If heaven's need per time in a city or ministry is the finance for the expansion of the Kingdom, when we realize that and attach our need for a financial breakthrough to the vision of God from a genuine heart, no matter how long it takes one day, we will have more than enough finance because heaven knows we will use it for His Kingdom. It is time to be connected to the heart of God in travail for His Kingdom and His will on earth.

One of the greatest pains of heaven at the moment is that many who are chanting his praises in Church are completely out of touch with what burdens his heart. In fact, many are seeking their interest using God as a means and not the interest of God. This situation has created a lot of disorder and delay in most of what heaven is interested in doing.

God is looking for people today whose meat is the coming of His Kingdom, and His will be done on earth. No force of hell can stop such breed of believers. Oh God! God; raise the Hannah's of this generation to participate in the birthing of your will on earth as it is in heaven.

It is common today to see an online post saying words like "You shall make it big this year." "Money is coming your way," "I see you entering your own house." "The louder your Amen the greater your miracle." "Someone will receive a financial phone call today," if you are the one, type Amen!

If we are to write down the proclamations made each day on Facebook, no book in the world can contain them. I wonder how many follow up after making those pronouncements to find out if anything is really changing.

The question is, when has ministry descended so low to the level of just making pronouncements over people? It seems today, a man or woman of God is expected to dish out proclamations, pronouncements and "prophecies over people," even when that isn't their need.

If you find nothing wrong with this trend, it is just an indication that you know little or nothing about the New Testament Revelation, or you have been deluded to believe a lie about the gospel.

Study the life of Christ and the ministry of the Apostles in the book of Acts and in history for inspiration. They never made random statements just to cajole people nor did they dished out prophecies casually.

I usually wonder where we got the pattern of what we are doing today. There is no big deal about someone receiving a phone call promising some financial support. In a crowd of 100 individuals and above, you would likely have someone who receives such a favor. Let's stop making casual occurrences to sound as miracles just to feed our ego.

For the first time in the history of the church, we have men and women parading themselves as ministers of the gospel who know nothing about the New Testament revelation. Some can't even tell you anything profound on the subject of salvation and faith in God.

You can't build a house in the air, even if it is a story building, its foundation must start from the ground. There is nothing wrong with speaking words of faith over God's people in a given time as led by the spirit, what is wrong is when it becomes a trend or pattern of ministry.

The evangelical, Pentecostal and charismatic movements must reexamine their present-day ministerial style and make urgent adjustments. We began in the spirit; it seems we are now trying to Perfect in the flesh, what began in the spirit.

I would like to use this platform to encourage all those who became members of the evangelical, Pentecostal and charismatic movements between the years 1995-2015 to seek for thorough mentorship. These were the years the above movements in most parts, experienced a drift from the main focus of the kingdom to extreme trivialities. I know; I might have stepped on some toes for saying the truth, but I am just doing what I am called to do.

The stakes are too high for compromise; and silence at this time can't be excused by the court of heaven. I pledge myself to the truth and nothing but the truth. So help me God! Dr. Benard Etta

What Do You Want To Change?

2010905?profile=originalThe passion for bringing change in any given area is the key to unlocking your potential. If you are not passionate about changing anything in your area of calling, then you are more likely to live a low-impact life with nothing to inspire present or future generations. You came to the world with unique physical features different from any other human being both in history and contemporary times, which is in itself an indication that you were sent on a unique mission to change something in your life-time to what God intended. It is time to awaken the giant in you by focusing on what God sent you on earth to change. This generation is waiting for you; don't keep them waiting forever!

Nearly Can't Kill A Bird!

2010948?profile=original

Acts 26: 28.

Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.

Getting close to victory is not victory; "Nearly Can't Kill A Bird." You either killed the bird, or you didn't. I know some of you may be wondering where we are heading with this reflection. We appreciate your curiosity; it is always a delight to talk to curious individuals who are longing to know the unknown.

Now, give us your ears if you can. After Paul's lengthy message to King Agrippa, the king's response was, "Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian." Almost! That is to say, he was very close to deciding to become a Christian, but he didn't.

Whenever the word "but" is introduced in a conversation, it changes it completely. It would have been exciting if King Agrippa said, "Paul, your persuasion has converted me to a Christian." Maybe, that would have introduced a new chapter in the book of Acts, but it wasn't the case.

What disappointment! Someone got so close to the kingdom of God, but decided not to enter! As we all know, nothing was said of King Agrippa again in scripture after that day. It seems to me that heaven chose to focus on more committed individuals than someone with "indecision syndrome."

There are millions of people around the world like King Agrippa; they rob themselves with men and women of vision, but that doesn't inspire them to become visionaries. They go to church, but are not committed at all to Christ; neither do they participate in any way for the advancement of the kingdom of God! They want everything the kingdom of God offers, but are not willing to leave the crowd to lead the crowd!

God is into serious business in this crucial hour. He is not looking for those sitting on the fence, but individuals who understand the stakes and are ready to say, "Here I am, Lord, send me!"

The kingdom of God doesn't advance through halfhearted individuals; bless me, bless me Christians, who are merely using God as a means to their goals. Sadly, they are those filling our churches around the world. They add to the number of those we count as Christians but contributing nothing of value to the cause of Christ.

It is time to choose where you stand; halfhearted believers and ministers will become casualties in the days we are living. We must stop playing games with our relationship with God. He is either Lord of all or not at all! There is sufficient grace to walk with him in total commitment for the kingdom; receive it now in Jesus name!

John 6:27 -28.

Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God, the Father has placed his seal of approval." Then they asked him, "What must we do to do the works God requires?" May the Lord bless his word in our hearts in Jesus name!

What must we do to do the works of God? You may be asking the same question or wondering how to turn "your ministry" into a potential force of positive transformation in your city or nation. Listen, God is not complicated as most people think; his ways are simple when you walk with Him with a renewed mind.

When the people asked Jesus what they must do to do the works of God, his response was simple, "Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent." John 6, verse 29.

He didn't ask them to bath naked or walk barefooted for 21 days like some imposters today would have done. He told them to believe in Him, whom God has sent. That is where many are missing it!

There are two principles in the response of Christ indispensable in our quest to do God's work, and we will look at them briefly.

This is the work of God that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. God's work is summed up in one person, Jesus Christ. No one should attempt any work in God's name without a revelation of Jesus Christ. Every aspect of the life of Christ as written in the scripture unveils a dimension of God's wisdom needed for our ultimate manifestation and impact on the earth.

Secondly, "believing in Him whom God has sent," is a principle of the kingdom. In every generation, there are individuals God sends as custodians of the revelation of the mind of God. Christ, the wisdom and power of God, walks the earth through these individuals for the accomplishment of God's prophetic plan. The discernment to identify these individuals and the humility to accept them are among the top breakthroughs in doing God's work in every generation.

Those who walk in this wisdom seldom have lame and mediocre ministries. All kingdom Generals throughout history and present times were birthed and shaped for their assignments by identifying and connecting to those God sent in their times.

That was the reason for the divine connection between Archbishop Benson Idahosa and Gordon Lindsay. Oral Roberts and T.L. Osborn,  Dr.Lester Sumrall, and Smith Wigglesworth, R. W. Schambach, and A. A. Allen. Reinhard Bonnke and George Jeffreys, Benny Hinn and Kathryn Kuhlman.

It is practically impossible to have a ministry that produces New Testament results in a significant way without identifying with those God sent in your time and tapping from them. I am not saying you should learn from anyone who performs miracles; we need so much discernment in these last days. Christ is the word and the truth, so observing and learning from those who are living expression of the truth of God's word is one of the wisdom required for anyone to do the works of God.

In conclusion, to do the works of God, we must have a personal revelation of Christ by the word and also, we must identify those God sent to our era and learn from them. If anyone lacks wisdom, let him ask of God! Ponder to be a wonder!

Don't Be Fool!

There is much more to our existence on planet earth than mere survival. I define survival as the struggle to make ends-meet or to amass wealth for self-aggrandizement. Thus, the survival mindset is basically that of working solely to own a house, put food on one's table, get married, raise children, have a bank account, own a car or cars, own a plot of land, and "that's it, nothing more."

Ironically, this is the sole vision of life the world is "selling" to us all. I said in Chicago last year during my mentorship program that, the highly celebrated "American Dream" of a house, car and others is the highest form of poverty if one's pursuit is limited to that. The definition of success based on "acquiring and acquiring" is one of the greatest deceptions of modern times.

Inasmuch as we need certain things to make life worth living, it's gross ignorance of a higher proportion to live solely for things without a sense of purpose attached to our existence that gives meaning to the things we have. Success in life is more than what one acquires; we were destined, empowered and sent to the planet earth for more serious matters than merely what we can amass for ourselves.

What we acquire during our lifetime on earth, may serve as potential tools for the realization of far-reaching aims for which we were born to accomplish. Life is purpose! We would never make full sense of what our existence is all about if we are unconscious of our purpose of existence.

The greatest questions of life are not what? how? where? when? Who? But "why?" What gives meaning to what? how? where? when? who? Is the knowledge of "why?"

When we start asking "why" about everything around us and living our lives with the consciousness of fulfilling the "why" of our existence, every other thing in life will have proper fitting. "Things are bound to fall apart if the center can't hold." The center of life isn't potential, but purpose. Potential is blind without a sense a purpose. And, potential can be greatly abused if it isn't tailored to accomplish the purpose for which it was designed.

Potential is what we have, purpose is the knowledge of "why" we were opportune to have what we have and the best way of employing and deploying what we have to make a difference. Esther was not celebrated in Scriptures because she was queen, but because she used her position to foil a plot to exterminate her people. People are not remembered for what they had, but for what they gave. The knowledge of our purpose brings everything about our lives into proper perspective. Ignorance of our purpose of existence is the greatest deprivation we can ever live with. Dr.Benard Etta

That I May Know Him! (Part 2)

That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; (Phi 3:10)

To work for Christ is good, but to know Christ is better. Sometime we think, by working so hard for God; we can impress him by the many things we do in his name, when actually he is more interested in getting us to know him than to work for Him.

Remember Martha, she was busy about many things, but Jesus said, Mary has chosen the best part which cannot be taken from her. Why? She sat at the feet of Jesus, listening and learning, while Martha was busy trying to prepare something for Jesus to eat. Does that mean Martha was doing something completely wrong? No! The issue is this; when we know him, we would be able to read his mind to know what he wants us to do at every given time. Outside of knowing him, we will operate in the dark regarding his will.

In the story of Jesus and the woman of Samaria, the scriptures say, Christ was hungry, and he sent his disciples to buy something for him to eat, and when they returned, instead of Jesus to eat, he was busy speaking with the woman of Samaria, and the disciples wondered if someone has given him something to eat, and they urged him to eat, and He told them, “I have meat to eat that ye know not of." (Jn (Jn 4:32)

What was the problem with the disciples in the above scripture? The disciples were sincere, but mistaken; they were operating on the mindset of the past; what Jesus needed, they didn't share in the mind of Christ for what the moment demanded. Like the disciples, we can be sincere, but mistaken in several areas in our busyness to work for God.

To know the scriptures and what they demand from us are good, but to know the Christ of the scriptures is much better. To know the commandments and commissions of the scriptures is good, but to know the one who gave the commandments and commission is better. If you were to ask the disciples what they were doing while they were busy with getting something for Jesus to eat, they would tell you sincerely that, they were doing the work of God, but in truth, they were out of touch with the heart beat of Christ.

Working for Christ without seeking to know him is just like working as a robot. Robots are machines made to do the heavy duties which humans can’t perform. They don’t have a mind of their own neither do they share the mind of those who made them. They simply act base on the remote control of those who use them. God did not create robots, neither did he saved us to turn us into robots, but to make us join heirs with Christ. We only take our rightful place in the Godhead by knowing Christ; do see why Paul made the issue of knowing Christ a top priority before talking about knowing the power of His resurrection?

Most believers today want more of the power of his resurrection; they talk about it than they talk of the need to know Christ. At times, the motive is simply to be on the spotlight. We need to know the power of his resurrection, but above all, we need to know Christ, who gives us the privilege to experience the power of his resurrection.

When we know him, we would be able to handle the power of His resurrection properly. Unconsciously to us, most of our so-called power demonstrations have turned us into entertainers in the eyes of the world.. Like Samson, we sometimes play for the viewing pleasure of the heathen becau

Believers are the most interesting people on earth to interact with; when you do, you would find many of their conceptions of the will of God to be very funny. One thing about God is that, He allows us to believe whatever we want about him, but if we choose to renew our minds and change our perspective by the revelation of truth, He would reveal to us the operations of his Kingdom.

There is no greater breakthrough in the kingdom of God as operating with the revelation of truth. Jesus said, ‘ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.’ When we receive the revelation of truth, we will then be able to see, know, understand and have the right perspective on every issue just like Christ when He walked this earth. No child or son of God should be satisfied with just being saved; we have to press on to know the Lord and to have His mind and Spirit. This is the forgotten path of the Christian faith; many, who are seeking Him today, are doing so for bread and fish, but not to know Him. The Church is full of idolaters who are simply worshiping the acts of God instead of worshiping God.

He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel. (Ps 103:7)
It is always a tremendous blessing to witness the acts of God; in fact, children in the kingdom build tabernacles around the acts of God, but sons go a step ahead to know the ways of God, which gives insight into the operations of God. How I wish the Church slows down her excessive religious activities consistently organized to entertain tired and retired believers who simply warm church pew week after week without any vision, passion and focus to know the Lord and His ways. How I wish every believer in Christ devotes his or her life to know the Lord and to understand His mode of operation. If we do the above, then the kingdom of God would come in our time with great power and glory.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. ROM 12:1+2

In the above scripture, Paul admonished us to renew our minds, to prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God’. God does not want us to be ignorant about His will. In this series, we shall be renewing our minds regarding the will of God, while weeding off strongly held misconceptions about the will of God. This is introductory; stay connected for more on this subject.

WORSHIP REDEFINED!

(When ye pray, say, Our Father who art in heaven,(Hallowed to be thy name)

For so long, our definition of worship has been limited to special moments when we sing, lift up our hands to praise the name of the lord. There is nothing wrong with singing, lifting up holy hands and praising God; but there is more to worship than the above. Christ told the woman of Samaria in the gospel of John, “Ye worship ye know not what.”

It’s more than two thousand years since Christ spoke those striking words to the woman of Samaria. Do you know what? He is still saying the same words today to several millions of God’s people around the world who fill our church buildings daily to worship him. “Ye worship ye know not what.”

Our fathers worshiped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. Joh:4:20-21.

To the woman of Samaria as seen in the above scripture, worship was a traditional rite handed down by her ancestors and should be carried out in the same traditional environments. This is the summary of what the religious mentality of worship is all about. God is looking for a generation of true worshipers who will worship the father in spirit and in truth.

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. Joh:4:23-24

WHAT IS WORSHIP?
Worship is the act of total surrender to God and living for his will, plans and purposes. It is bigger than singing some religious songs and weeping in a religious service. Worship is part of our ministry to God; it’s not a religious ritual, but an attitude of respect, which should be expressed in all we do and say, to hallow the name of the Almighty God. In the words of Christ to His disciples on prayer, worship was included by the statement (Hallowed be thy name). Worship in all its forms helps to lift up our spirit and to enable us to be more receptive to God.

NB: Worship does not raise God higher, for He is already higher above all gods, and He fills all things. You can’t improve on perfect! Worship does not lift God for God is already lifted; worship lifts us to where God is, from where we can be graced with His anointing. Worship should be an integral part of the life and ministry of a New Testament believer in season and out of season.

Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. (Hab 3:17-18)

When we live a life of worship, we would be able to go through challenging seasons without losing the freshness of God’s presence. Worship as a life of total surrender to God and living for his will, plans and purposes, keep us in the presence of God perpetually. I encourage you to practice a life of worship (a life of total surrender to God and living for his will, plans and purposes). It’s uplifting and refreshing.

What is considered as worship today has given birth to individuals who live like the devil from Monday to Saturday and on Sunday morning, they go to church in order to appease their religious consciences with few songs in the name of worship. May God save the church!

God created us to live for his will, plans and purposes, which were to serve as our worship to Him.

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. Rev 4:11

God created all things for His pleasure. What is his pleasure? God's pleasure has to do with his will, plans and purposes. The pleasure of every manufacturer is the functioning of his or her products in accordance to his or her will, plans purposes. We only worship God effectively if we live fully for his will, plans and purposes. This does not demand for one to go up the mountains or Jerusalem to worship; God is a spirit. he is everywhere. He is not looking for a religious ritual in the name of worship, but for people who will live fully for his glory.

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. Joh:4:23-24

May the Spirit of the Lord come on you as you commit yourself fully today for God and all what his passions are in Jesus name! Cheers! Dr. Etta

UNDERSTANDING DIVINE LAWS!

Whether we are conscious or not, our lives and all of existence are governed by Divine laws. These laws determine the operational dynamics of the universe and all of creation, and also explain cause and effect. Our survival, peace and prosperity as God's people and our ability to restore all things back to God, would greatly depend on our understanding of Divine laws and how they impact the whole of existence. We can't afford to settle where we are in our comprehension of the revelation of truth. It's time as God's representatives, we stop allowing the world to claim more knowledge of what we should be custodians of as God's children.

Why should we seek the understanding of Divine laws?

Spiritual Ignorance is one thing we must strive to conquer in order to live and function as we should. And, to fulfill our purpose of existence. God doesn't operate in secrecy, nor does He desire to keep us in ignorance of the laws, which upholds existence. We were originally designed by God to rule, dominate and properly manage the earth; implementing on early places, God's kingdom vision for creation. This strategic assignment can't be carried out by people who are ignorant of the very laws, which governs their existence and should determine their operational dynamics.

It's worth noting that, the coming of the Holy Spirit is part of God's plan to provide us access into knowledge about life and existence, beyond the reach of those without a relationship with God. This privilege has been ignored by many within the church in their blind quest for power. Nothing is as dangerous as power without illumination; it leaves one in a state of blindness.

The Pentecostal and charismatic movements today seem to be operating in a type of pseudo-light due to our relegation of the Holy Spirit to charismatic gifts, while paying little attention to His role as the sole teacher of ALL THINGS.

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Joh: 14:26

"HE SHALL TEACH YOU ALL THINGS"
Imagine a church equipped with the knowledge of the Divine laws, which govern all things. Imagine the impact the church would make on the earth! This is the breakthrough the church has been unable to experience, due to our little understanding of the ministry of the Holy Spirit as the teacher of all things.

If the teaching ministry of the Spirit was pursued as we seek the power ministry of the Spirit, the church will become the most empowered institution in the world, bringing all secular institutions, including the United Nations under the influence of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

The Holy Spirit is the spirit of creation: (and (And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters (Gen 1:2). He has the most secret information about existence, and one of His ministries to the Church is that of teaching ALL THINGS to equip the church to impact all spheres of life.

How much has the church made of the teaching ministry of the Holy Spirit for over two thousand years? The church has made very little breakthrough as far as the teaching ministry of the Holy Spirit is concerned, but I have good news! There is a church emerging on the earth in the 21st century; in the likes of no other church in history. I am talking of the emerging 21st century church, which is actually the third coming of the church. This church is going to operate in a dimension of illumination; leading to the kind of impact no other generation of God's people has ever had on humanity.

We praise God for the Power of the Holy Spirit and the manifestation of the charismatic gifts, but in the absence of the teaching ministry of the Holy Spirit to guide and illuminate us regarding the divine laws of God, which governs existence and determines cause and effect, we would be more in our operations like the magicians of Pharaoh, who could also perform supernatural acts, but in the dark.

In some quarters, the church looks more superstitious like the Athenians in the days of the Apostle Paul. This sad state is a reflection of the absence of light to guide, direct and illuminate our whole kingdom perspective. This is as a result of our limited quest for truth and understanding of the teaching ministry of the Holy Spirit.

The greatest message of all times is found in the scripture below.

This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 1Jo:1:5

When we understand this revelation, it would transform our entire vision of the kingdom and its glory. God is light! Darkness is a symbol of spiritual ignorance, and the greatest form of ignorance is that of Divine laws. This ignorance is responsible for the level of our comprehension of Divine truth about existence and its functionality.

God is raising a generation that will walk in the fullness of His light to restore all things into harmony with Him. This subject is broader than we can grasp in a single note. For more on this important truth; I am inviting you to be part of my mentorship platform. Dr. Etta

The kingdom of God is the only Kingdom without geographical, national, racial, tribal, ethnic and religious boundaries. Its values and principles are universal and timeless. When Joshua encountered the captain of the army of the lord, the scripture says, “and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, Art thou for us, or for our adversaries? And he said, Nay; but as captain of the host of the LORD am I now come. Jos: 5:13-14.

Nay implies; I am neither for you, nor for your adversary; but as captain of the host of the Lord am I now come.

Listen! God does not take sides with any group; he has a universal vision that transcends geographical, national, racial, tribal, ethnic and religious boundaries. That is why; God is not an American or African nor Asian; he isn’t a Catholic, Protestant or Pentecostal. He is God and he remains God, with no allegiance to any group.

When God looks at the earth, he does not look for Catholics, Protestants, Pentecostals nor charisma tics, but for those who manifest the universal culture of the kingdom. It is unfortunate that we are still manifesting the blind cultures of our societies.. May God move us out of our own cultures into the universal culture of the kingdom!

What is culture?

Culture has to do with the way of life of a people, either from a particular geographical region; be it a community, nation or society, which distinguishes them from others. The culture of a people is their true identity. Thus,a people without a culture have no real identity.

When we come into the kingdom, we come with the traits of our different cultural inclinations. So, even as believers in Christ Jesus, we sometime unconsciously bring into the body of Christ our cultural perspectives, values and operational dynamics. These create a pseudo Christ-like experience, limiting our effectiveness as ambassadors of the kingdom of God. For this reason, God expects us to discover the universal culture of his kingdom, and to live and function from that dimension. This is the most urgent breakthrough needed today in the body of Christ.

Rediscovery the universal culture of the kingdom

This is the calling of this generation; and at this level, there is no African, American, Asian, Australia, but a people of God, though from different nations, kindred, people, and tongues, washed by the blood of the lamb, living and manifesting the same universal culture of the kingdom.

We need this breakthrough in the church of Jesus Christ today. We are still, by and large, operating and manifesting the cultures of our tribes, nations and societies. We are yet to discover the universal culture of the kingdom, and this failure stands as a major obstacle, preventing the church from entering her full glory.

God is not looking for Americans, Africans, Asians, Catholics, Protestants, Pentecostals; he is looking for his bride, bought by the blood of Christ, fully living and demonstrating the universal culture of the kingdom on earth. This is beyond religion! Dr. Etta

THE MISSING INGREDIENT!

Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.Wherefore do ye spend money for [that which is] not bread? and your labour for [that which] satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye [that which is] good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. (Isa 55:1-2)

As powerful as money is with respect to purchasing power and global exchange, there are some things money can't buy. If this is true, it implies, money does not apply in all circumstances. This is not an encouragement for anyone to settle in financial lack, but a liberating truth with respect to purchasing supernatural things. While we need money in the natural to pay for the things we want or need, supernatural things are only purchased with supernatural currency. What can that be? It's actually one of the missing ingredients in today's Christianity; that is, THIRST!

In our scriptural text, an invitation was given to everyone to come to the waters; even those without money were invited to come and buy wine and milk without price. Thus, if money was not the requirement, what was the legal means of buying all that the scriptures spelled out? The answer is found in the same text; “every one that thirsteth.”

Thirst in the supernatural is equal to money in the natural. The things of the Spirit are not given to the rich or poor, but to those who are thirsty for them. This alone explains the reason behind the shallowness in the spiritual experience of millions of believers today the world over. 98% of the messages preached today all over the world, inspire people to acquire and acquire things in the natural; few inspire individuals to draw nearer to God, the one who gives true riches.

We now have the money to pay for equipment, facilities, lands, etc: but we lack the Divine in our lives and ministries in the dimension the Saints of old had. The average believer today wants just everything the world offers, but lacks the thirst for the things of the Spirit. Could this state of spiritual desiccation be the result of the imbalance teachings, which have invaded the church in the last three decades? Could the failure of the pulpit be responsible for this high-level of carnality exhibited today by God's people? The call is still sounding today as it did many thousands of years ago.

Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.”

Don't get me wrong! Seeking God does not make one financially poor, but it prepares one to handle more money than one could have done without heaven's grace and vision. There is nothing wrong with being blessed financially and materially for kingdom purposes, but it is tantamount to deception to think that, our financial and material breakthrough can purchase the things of the Spirit.

Money can put one on television around the world, but can't give one a Spirit inspired message for the world. Money can give one the most beautiful church facility, but not the grace to build people, etc. We need money for kingdom purposes, but above all, we need God; and we can only reach the heart of God to download into the natural via a genuine thirst after the things of the spirit.

Today, what keeps a Christian on his or her knees throughout the night is different from that which kept a believer on his or her knees throughout the night some decades ago. We now exist in our millions around the world, but the shallowness of our spiritual experience leaves us helpless before a dying generation.  It's time for our spiritual barrenness to drive us into the presence of God in search for wine and milk, which can nourish our souls and spirit one more time. We desperately need to return to a place of genuine thirst after God, if heaven would have anything serious to do with us in this dispensation.

This is the time for the thirsty in the body of Christ, irrespective of denomination; those who sigh and cry for a kingdom revolution in the Church and the world and not those who are looking for where they can satisfy their quest for ordinary religion.

The present church does not need a casual cure, neither a panacea of lukewarm preaching and teachings born from the tomb and not from the womb of the Spirit, but a deep revolution of the very soul and spirit of the church driven by the Spirit through men and women with a thirst for all heaven has to offer in this dispensation. Be blessed!

THE MAN GOD USES!!

And he goeth up into a mountain, and calleth unto him whom he would: and they came unto him. And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach (Mk 3:13-14)

Few individuals in every generation are called to follow the Lord up the mountain. Why the mountain top? The mountain top is a reserved environment;only very few individuals can make it there. It is not a place for the crowd, but for individuals who mean serious business. Secondly, the mountain top is a place of vision; it is possible to see farther from a mountain top. Thirdly, the mountain top is a place for those who can withstand the pressure of the wind and still maintain focus on what got them there.

There are serious kingdom matters Christ doesn't discuss with those who seek him just for bread, healing and deliverance, etc. It’s unfortunate that, most of our churches and ministries today are filled up with such a crowd of people. They come for the bread and fish and not for the vision of Christ. When bread and fish are over, they pack out to another church/ministry to look for their usual bread and fish. Christ can’t do business with such a crowd of people; they can’t exercise composure to follow Christ up the mountain without causing a nuisance. So, He sends them away while He takes along with him those who mean business and are out for real experience with him.

Those with the desire to be used of God must separate themselves from the crowd to follow the master up the mountain top. "To lead the crowd you must leave the crowd." The ordinary Christianity many practice today is a rottenness to the bones. I wonder how long God would refrain from spewing this Laodicean religion out of his mouth. Christ is still calling even today for those who will pay the price to follow Him up the mountain; would you answer the call? That's the reason for mentorship; taking serious individuals up the mount for greater vision, revelation and a sense of purpose for their generation. Dr.Benard Etta

DESTROYING THE VICTIM MINDSET

The primary goal of a leader is not to create a victim mindset in people, but to destroy it. Leaders were supposed to lift people from a victim mindset and lifestyle into a life of freedom, maturity and responsibility. I saw this in the life and ministry of Christ; those who came to him as victims, didn't live perpetually as victims. They were lifted out of their victim mindset and lifestyle and given a greater sense of purpose to live for. Peter, James, John, Mary Magdalene and countless others were beneficiaries of the leadership style of Jesus Christ.

What is a victim mindset?  The victim mindset is the believe that someone else or some circumstances of one's past or present are responsible for the lifestyle or experience of an individual. Thus, individuals who sees themselves as victims, hold others responsible and blame circumstances for their state of being.

Victims believe they can't really do anything to change their situation since they didn't cause it. They always expect people to sympathize with them and to accept them as they are, even though they have all it takes to transform their lives.

One's past shouldn't determine one's future. No matter the circumstances of one's childhood experience, it is possible for every "made believe" victim to overcome his or her past and to live a life of dignity in the present and future. Looking for excuses for an addiction leaves one perpetually as an addict. Accepting responsibility for one's lifestyle and determining to break free from any bondage marks the end of the victim mindset and lifestyle.

Praying for a victim without destroying his or her victim mindset leaves him or her in the same situation. That's the mistake most Christian leaders are making; they spend enormous time praying for people without destroying the mindset behind their lifestyles. Jesus Christ is not building a church of victims, but of victors. Take it or leave it, but it's the truth.

Christ came to lift people, not to create a haven for victims in the church. You come to Christ with a victim mindset, but you aren't supposed to live like that perpetually. That's the gospel truth preachers should be telling people. Making people comfortable in their mess and giving them excuses for their lifestyles doesn't make them better human beings. It only makes the finish work of Christ of no effect in the lives of people.

There is freedom from all forms of addictions and negative lifestyles, but the choice is ours. Christ made provision for our freedom, but we must be willing to be free to experience freedom. It's time to walk out of any victim mindset you have built overtime. Let Christ in and he will make you free. Pack out of any church where you are not told the truth; let the truth of God’s word be your criteria for attending a church. Have a blessed day! DrBenard Etta

Built to Last!!!

What does it take to have an enduring legacy that inspires present and future generations?  A legacy that continues to inspire lives after two thousand years and beyond, which death is not the end, but the beginning of several “testaments “of the richest of God's grace manifested via a human vessel?  It's time we stop the quick-fix approach, which has brought us reproach. It's time for the long haul! It's time to build to last!

Let’s begin the journey!

For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried. Thou broughtest us into the net; thou laidst affliction upon our loins. Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place. PSALMS 66:10-12

God can't approve someone he has not proven. He can't take an individual he has not tried and tested seriously. The true pioneers of every era are not simply successful individuals, but those who survived what scared and killed others to attain their higher calling.

There are people who look outwardly successful, but with nothing really serious to offer their generation. They have the means to pay for anything, but have nothing to offer their generation. They can build schools and churches, but lacking the capacity to build people. Why? They know nothing about God's school of preparation.

The ministry of Arch Bishop Benson Idahosa of blessed memory influenced me not because of his external successes, but because of his testimony (His challenges, pain, battles, and struggles, and how he overcame them to fulfill his mandate).

I have no respect for individuals who make a lot of noise, but have no substance. I have no respect for “flamboyancy,” without real depth of spiritual, intellectual, mental and moral capacity built through time tested experiences.

Most young people today want to look flamboyant; don’t quote me wrong, looking good is good business, but it isn't a proof of leadership. One can build his/her external image and still be lacking real substance of grace and wisdom to positively influence present and future generations.

The Psalmist said: “O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.” I wonder if we still have people who understand what it means to be tried as silver. The silver we use in different ways does not exist with such quality in its natural state; it only attains its marketable quality after being refined under intense heat. The heat separates it from dirt and then the purified silver is collected and packaged for it several uses.

Today’s generation wants the value of silver, but they don’t want its making process. They want to identify and connect with those with peculiar influence, but not to share in their 'sufferings.' Once challenges surface, you see the same person who was talking about submission under a leader for mentorship running for his life. We have many runaway sons and daughters today whose leadership, vision and ministries were birth prematurely, lacking the maturity that comes along with the making process. When you look at them and those, they call their mentors, they have no resemblance in character- because, they left before the time destined for real impartation.

Such unprepared leaders are in all spheres of life today, offering low quality services to the ignorant. To them, it’s all about money and fashion; they don’t think beyond one generation. In fact, most of what they are doing will end with them. It can’t get beyond their time since it is not built to last. It’s built for temporal attainment and not for posterity.

I once told leaders in a conference that, if one’s books and impact can’t be read and appreciated 1000 years in the future, then such never had an enduring legacy. The key to such long-lasting impact is simply patient in God’s school of preparation. Only the tried and tested can have long lasting legacy. Dr.Benard Etta
